ABOUT
I started this website to share the photographs and stories of my velo adventures in my local Surrey Hills, South Downs and further afield.

The enthusiasm for all things bike related started when growing up in South Africa and riding on the local bmx track. I was later carried along in the slipstream of the London 2012 Olympics and the (re)emergence of British cycling with new stars like Froomey, Wiggo, Cav and G.

Cycling endurance challenges have always fascinated me. I have taken part in various sportives including South Africa’s oldest 'classic' event the Amashovashova (following the Comrades ultramarathon route), Paris Roubaix Challenge, Poppy Scotland, Chiltern 100 and Prudential London 100. I have also completed other endurance events including the UK 24 hour Three Peaks Challenge and successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

Cycling adventures can also be found can be closer to home. With an increased awareness of the environmental impact of the wider cycling industry, there is more emphasis than ever on local riding supporting local causes. Covid-19 has demonstrated that there are so many routes to explore locally. With the right kit and a bit of fitness, anyone can enjoy a velo adventure.

I hope you find this website useful and please get in contact with any tips or ideas that can be shared.
